I love how whenever US network TV takes a trip north of the 49th, it's always "The Canadian Wilderness." Because Whistler is definitely roughing it in the bush, guys. And to the guy from Texas who's never been on a train OR to Canada... dress in 15 layers of thinsulate, tread softly, and don't disturb the wildlife or the locals. It's not that I think you can't take care of yourself, I'm just concerned that you may run into Ben Mulroney.

Oh c'mon. It's been a whole year since I've made fun of him. Clearly, California has mellowed me out.

Why I sometimes have problems reconciling what year it is – Wheel of Fortune is still on the air with new episodes, they're apparently still showing new seasons of The Bachelorette, and the radio stations here reallllllly enjoy spinning tracks from an Incubus album that's 10 years old. All in all, a veritable time warp.

Are there seriously a bunch of guys on my TV sitting around talking about finding "The One" and how they "need to get a rose tonight"? And have I seriously not gone in search of the TV remote? Let's fix that...

It's possible that I'm the only person with a Twitter account who has never seen an episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, and is not emotionally involved in the plot of a TLC reality show. Sometimes, it's not a bad thing to be living under a rock...
